In order to provide continuity of delivery of educational programing across Alberta, we (CBE) as a system are working on long term delivery of programing. We will be providing system wide messaging for families prior to the break. In the mean time here is a list of sites that will your student continue practicing what we have been learning in class.
Dear Families:
We are thinking of you and miss seeing you. Hope you are all doing well. Review the blog for past games, activities
and links we have done in class.
Here are some resources and ideas that we have used in class
to keep you and your child engaged while being home over the Spring Break.
1.
For reading, writing and language
activities. Read to your child, talk
about letters and letter sounds. Look
around your house (letter hunt) for things that begin with certain letters
(sounds).
Here are some links to use also:
ABCYa: https://www.abcya.com
alphablocks – youtube (good for sounding
out words / letter sounds)
2.
For math – continue counting, making groups of
objects (using your fingers or small objects such as small toys, cereal,
buttons, paper clips etc.) and number identification.
Here are some links to use also:
Numberblocks – you tube
Numberjacks – you tube
Zero The Hero – you tube
3.
Educational movement songs and games. All young children enjoy participating in
these. All children should remain active
a few times throughout the day.
Cosmic Kids Yoga
Just Dance Kids
We wish you all a restful and healthy Spring Break. Stay tuned to School messenger and the blog
for any further updates.
